Land north of the B4220, Bosbury – ES Landscape Planning were instructed to provide landscape advice to Esprit Homes Construction in relation to their reserved matters scheme at Bosbury. The principal of development on the site had been approved at appeal, however, the Council felt that the illustrative layout did not reflect the character of the village and would affect the landscape setting of Bosbury, which lies just to the west of the Malvern Hills AONB.

ES Landscape Planning worked alongside the consultant team to identify the key issues and how the proposed layout could be developed to address the Council’s concerns. This collaborative process resulted in a refined scheme which was welcomed by the Council. ES Landscape Planning also prepared the landscape strategy for the site which included hedgerow enhancements and a community orchard of locally characteristic varieties that will not only integrate the proposals into the immediate setting of Bosbury but also into the wider Herefordshire landscape.
